Privacy Policy
This page explains what information the Slotz website (slotz.app) collects and what is done with it.
Who we are
Slotz is a booking and scheduling platform for service businesses that has not launched yet. This website is run by Randa Victor, an individual based in Egypt. “We” and “us” on this page mean Slotz.
You can reach us through the contact form.
What we collect
Your email address, when you give it to us. If you fill in one of the email forms on this website, we save the email address you typed, which form you used, and the date and time.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we save your name, your email address, your message, and the date and time. A copy of your message, with your name, email address and country, is also sent to our own email inbox so that we can read it and reply.
Your internet address and country. When you use any form on this website, we record your internet address (IP address) and the country it comes from, together with what you sent, which form it was and the time. We use this to prevent abuse of the forms and to review and lift blocks. An address that reaches the limit again and again can be blocked from that form for 7 days.
How we use the email address you type to prevent abuse. The email address you type into a form is also used to limit repeated attempts and to block abuse. The same email address can only be used a few times in a short period, and an email address that reaches the limit again and again can be blocked from that form for 7 days. If the same message is sent again and again, we keep only one copy. Some email domains are not accepted, for example throwaway email services and addresses made for testing.
How long these records are kept. Records that are used only for limiting attempts (they hold your internet address, country and the email address you typed) are deleted after a short time, normally within 7 days. The address and country saved with your waitlist email or your message are kept for as long as that email or message is kept.
Basic technical information. As with most websites, the services that host this website and store its data may record standard technical details, such as your internet address, your browser type and the pages you open. This is used to keep the website running and secure.
We do not ask for payment details on this website, and you cannot create an account here.
What we use it for
If you joined the waitlist or subscribed, we use your email address only to:
- tell you when Slotz launches or when early access is ready;
- send you news about the launch and about early access perks.
If you sent us a message, we use your name, email address and message only to read it and to reply to you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address and your messages until you ask us to remove them, or until we no longer need them for the purposes above.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- remove your email address from the waitlist, or delete a message you sent.
To do any of these, send us a message through the contact form.
Who helps us run this website
We use trusted service providers to host this website, to store data and to deliver emails. They only process your information on Slotz’s behalf.
Cookies, tracking and content from other websites
- This website itself does not set any cookies.
- It does not use analytics or tracking tools.
- It does not show advertising.
- The fonts, images and styles are part of this website. The only thing loaded from another provider is the security check described below.
Security check (Cloudflare Turnstile). To keep automated programs (bots) from abusing our forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service run by Cloudflare. It runs in the background and normally shows nothing. It is loaded from Cloudflare when you start to use a form, not before. To decide whether a form is being sent by a person, Cloudflare receives technical information from your browser, such as your internet address and details about your browser and device. Cloudflare gives us only the result: passed or not passed. We send this result to Cloudflare once more to confirm it before we save anything. Cloudflare’s use of this information is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
When you send a form, your browser sends what you typed directly to the service that stores it for us.
The footer has plain links to our pages on social networks. They are ordinary links: nothing from those networks is loaded on this website. If you click one, you leave this website, and that network’s own privacy rules apply.
Security
We take reasonable care to protect your information. No website or storage service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
